Our Jeffersonville Christ Gospel Church has developed a nursery program to serve our members and visitors. For most services, the nursery is open for children ages six weeks to five years. On Sunday mornings, the nursery program is extended to include children ages six and seven.
Our nursery program is designed primarily for our church members, but visiting children are welcome if their parent or legal custodian is present in the church service. Nursery begins just before the sermon and ends after the benediction is given.
Our goal is to provide a safe, happy, caring environment where children have fun learning about our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. Organized lesson plans for each class include games, snacks, praise and worship, Bible lessons, activities and crafts appropriate for each age group.
In order to staff our nursery program, we require that parents of participating children volunteer their services and complete assigned rotations so that we have adequate adult supervision for our children at all times. All volunteers must complete an application for church ministry form, which includes screening and a background check. We also require and provide orientation for our parent volunteers so they can understand and follow our policies that promote the welfare of our children. Attending our nursery programs is a privilege, not a right. Our nursery staff and volunteers, also, consider it a privilege to serve your children and help these little ones experience God's love, light, and life.
